I do feel like the dynamic camera is worse than in the remaster, it feels like it pulls your camera in different directions when you move the mouse

It could be, I just stopped playing until they fix it, or someone mod this. There has to be a way to remove this constant changing camera, in fact there is a mod in nexus called gameplay tweaks that allows you to do it but its not compatible at the moment

bump for visibility. it really seems like it should be such a small addition (I don't know if that's actually true)

I am using it and its a big improvement. That being said Nixxes should update this and add an option to lock the camera on the left side like FW

i ran this mod on remastered and there is no option to lock camera

oh nice! I used this before and didn't realize it worked with remaster now. I still hope Nixxes adds this option, but this is an immediate improvement, thanks for sharing.

Weird... I never even notice the dynamic camera until I read about it.
For me it's hard to see why this is such a big deal.

Because we're used to third person games where the character stays pretty much on one side or the center of the screen, not move wildly from one side to the other randomly.

And it's impossible to get used to this?

I play all kinds of games, 1st person, 3rd person or any other kind of view. And I'm doing that for more than 40 years now. In all that time, I hardly ever had any issue with camera views.

But since classic Joysticks are gone, I'm playing with mouse and keyboard only. Maybe it's really different with a controller.

There's one big exception though and that was the first Assassin's Creed, which was completely unplayable for me back then. The reason was that movement and view direction were not linked. I guess controlling view and movement independently is the default with a controller with two sticks, but with mouse and keyboard it was impossible for me to play.

They changed that later and the current version of that old game works as expected, the character turns with the mouse and forward is always the direction you look at.

It's the same in this game with mouse and keyboard, and the camera movement is not random but mostly follows the movement of the mouse. So I really don't care which of Aloy's shoulders I'm looking over.

I was going to say it was impossible to get used to this, but now i have to agree with you and say it is in fact possible to get used to this and everyone who is complaining are wrong across the board, because of your 40 years of experience. Personally i've had nausea issues because of the way some games cameras behave, Dead Rising 3 for example has this zooming in and out floaty camera that i can take for about 2 minutes and the subsequent game's FOV is ridiculously close. God of War games make me want to puke also, as did that Banishers game. But i stick with your experience and push on through the sweats.

It's not just about getting used to it, it's actually pulling your aim with the motion of the camera, try running in a straight line, you feel like you are always fighting the camera the dynamic camera can also get stuck too leaving the camera at a weird angle which requires you to aim to sort it, it's not a big deal but the dynamic camera is broken so no people shouldn't just suck it up as it wasn't like this in the original, the original didn't have the range of motion this version has
