Texture Issues During Speaking Scenes
I've only just started the game and I got to Mothers heart to start the Provin, I talked to that guy with the Focus and then the guy who looked like he'd dropped in the wrong game and should be in a Dragon Age game. Behind him the pillow and stairs would not load the textures at all it looked like ♥♥♥♥.

My rig for 1080p

Ryzen 5600
RX6600 8GB
32GB 3200mhz RAM
Game installed on Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD

I have to actually use FSR to get decent FPS even for medium settings as Native i get the same dips as the original

I get that too, I am on Intel CPU and Nvidia RTX GPU.

On my system, closing the game completely and restarting from the previous save fixes it.
If I just go back to main menu and reload the save prior to the dialogue scene, it won't be good enough. I have to exit the game first.

What also helps is to have texture quality no lower than high and level of detail no lower than very high.

I don't know what causes it but would guess that the game doesn't do a good job compiling shaders.
To me, it seems like compiling should happen more frequently, especially when you travel some distance.

NOTE: I also have the game on PS5 and it doesn't have the issue.
The textures never fade out during NPC dialogue scenes.

When Aloy first talks to Erend? Yes, seen that here too – the textures for the steps, platform and poles behind Erend were sometimes properly rendered and sometimes rendered with what looks suspiciously like a very low-resolution texture. I'm fairly sure that sometimes when the scene cut to Erend, the textures would briefly be rendered properly before “popping out” – which leads me to think that it's a resource management issue, with the game being perhaps too aggressive about unloading resources not used for objects in view. (It's that or a LOD bug, so far as I can tell.)

There's also an issue with the third line of subtitles being slightly clipped (edge of the window; 16:9, default sizes). This is noticeable during the same scene.

When I briefly switched textures to high, I noticed some GPU out-of-memory errors being logged. No effects on the game itself; just a momentary Linux amdgpu/DRM failure.

SSAO is set to high; graphics are otherwise on the overall medium setting. AMD hardware (Ryzen 3600, RX 6600 XT, 32GB of DDR4 clocked at 3200 MT/s, but running the game from spinning rust); graphics driver is a freshly-compiled Mesa 24.3.0.

This game seems also to be triggering a Mesa bug, with the kernel logging messages looking like “Fence fallback timer expired on ring comp_1.3.0”.

I have the same issues.

very low res/detail backgrounds during conversations. i tried recompiling shaders, which maybe fixes the problem for a little while but it eventually returns.

1080p
High textures
16x AF
Very High details
SATA SSD

RX 6650XT 8 GB VRAM
5800X3D CPU
Win 11 24H2

Have the same issue since the last update. It was worst at the mill in the Royal Maizelands.
