"Deliver Us Home is a solitary sci-fi experience where one astronaut works to secure a new home and future for humanity."
Based on what we've seen during the gameplay sessions of the prototype demo, the player takes on a completely new character, so you don't start with a familiar character from the previous games.
Furthermore, I hope that the storyline will once again be the guiding thread in 'Deliver Us Home', as it's precisely what made the previous games so strong. With this game, it seems they want to give the player more freedom by incorporating a somewhat open-world concept, where the player has to search for ingredients to create or upgrade items. I hope that this focus on the storyline is not lost in the process.
Both trailer and title would fit well to the last game's ending, where they launched from Mars heading to earth,
Which means, it doesn't look like Kathy/Sarah/Ryan (and i guess Isaac) achieved anything by returning ARK's Vita and Habitas back to Earth.
Claire died for nothing. So did all those Union colonists, not to mention Outward/Homebound ones.
And if it's 23rd Century, heroic Kathy with daddy-issues is long gone :/
