NO CD problem

I'm getting the same error after running the game several times with few to no issues. Then I'll try to start it again and this error appears.
I was thinking it was a problem with Wine (under Linux), but it's even more interesting to know that this isn't the case... Does anyone have any ideas?

Update: I've fixed the problem! Go to C:\Windows\ and delete the file "badmojo.INI." Then go to Bad Mojo's directory (probably "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Bad Mojo"; I have the GOG version, so mine is different) and copy the BADMOJO.ini from there into C:\Windows\. That did it for me, and I hope it helps you guys!

THANK YOU so much, I tried this solution on my Steam version and now I am finally able to play the game. I initially bought the game from GOG but couldn't get it to work because of the cursed "No CD" error, and back then I couldn't find any way to launch the game. Later, I bought the game from Steam and the same error occured. Luckily I stumbled here and found your trick. Now that the bad mojo is lifted, I can finally become a cockroach.

As for the people it hasn't worked for, I'm really not sure of what else one could try... Hopefully someone else will come through here and help out.
Or maybe somebody in a higher place will actually do something for this release that is sadly broken out-of-the-box on both Steam and GOG.

I also tried a NO-CD patch I found online. Nothing worked.

For people who are getting this problem on Windows 10 64x, I solved it by installing the game on a directory in my main disc unit, where Windows is installed (in my case, the C drive). Also, copied the badmojo.ini in the game directory folder to the C:/Windows directory, and under the game directory I set launcher.exe to "Run this program as administrator" under its properties.

The game runs flawlesly except for the Steam overlay (with all the issues to run this game, that's not really a let down haha). The game is AMAZING.

I did what Emol Dndriel suggested. Instead of the "No CD" error, I get a program startup crash with error message: "BADMOJO.EXE had stopped working" informing me that Windows is reporting the program crash to Microsoft.

Hey guys. I have a solutioun about this annoying no cd problem. Very very easy.
Go to the game folder. Right click to the "launcher.exe" than click preperties. Got to compability segment and check the box near "run as administrator". At last click appyl and ok. Thats all.
