You should get acquainted with how the game was made to truly appreciate its full grotesqueness (and to decide if you are offended by its nature before digging in). Reikhardt posted a very good link for that - if you hate reading, just check this excerpt from it:
And so you see why this game can be so icky. That's not a well drawn picture of a dead rat. That's an actual dead rat, scanned in for your stomach churning pleasure by developers who jokingly complain that the problem with trying to scan in spiders is that they would literally vaporise in the heat of filming. They ordered cockroaches from a supply company and let them be fruitful and multiply, creating what they called 'a terrarium of horrors'. The rat though... the rat really had a bad day.
"It was our original goal not to harm any animals during the production of the game," begins the story. It doesn't get much better from there, with our friend there having just been captured from a restaurant by an exterminator... who then smashed it against his truck. Not apparently too bothered, the team raced back to stick it on the scanner table and get as many shots as they could before it started to stink and go rotten, and the story became "We only harmed animals who were on Death Row anyway."
At least the cats in the FMV bits were handled by a proper trainer.
The catfish you find in the kitchen though? Beheaded in the studio. To be photographed.

I would wait until it is out, though, to see how they went about with the porting.
More than enough reviews on there.
Redux was released back in 2004 on DVD. That means higher quality FMV files.
"Got Game Entertainment re-released the game in December 2004 as Bad Mojo Redux. All in-game videos were remastered from original footage. Redux runs in truecolor only, opposed to the 1996 release which required only 256-color mode. This change makes the videos clearer and more colorful. The re-release also came with a bonus DVD, which contained a making-of, art galleries and other bonuses.[3] This DVD was omitted from the UK release."
cool thanks for that, never played it before i might give it a try.
Ah, so it existed already. I guess its safe to buy, then.
Odd. I have the original CD ROM and I'm playing it just fine on Windows 8.
And I don't have the , "Redux" , version mine is the original by GOT.
But, since this is the Redux version I'm getting it. Mine is CD and the game videos
are crap. But I'm shocked it runs with the CD on Windows 8!
