Can you sell/remove old gym equipment?

Can't see a way to do it and rather not have lots of old irrelevant items in my inventory.

Yes, just run over the street to the pawn shop (exit your gym, cross the road, turn left and run until there's a shop you can enter on your right).

just to add to this, you can also press the M key to open the map to see points of interest.

Can you do this after your close the gym in an evening? Seems weird if you can only do it by Leaving the gym during the day!
