I hope we get construction crane, when the big building (like skyscraper) is poping up. Longer simulation during construction, not like now. Imagine - you look at your city from afar and see a lot of construction cranes, then you now that your city is developing. It's one of those things that is unrealistic about this game right now.

I like the sound of this and I'm wondering if this could be modded into the existing game. I know the current real time mod has the option to slow down the time it takes to construct a building, if it's a high density zone that is developing it would be nice to have a crane appearing along with the scaffolding. We would just need access to the building animation submesh they use in order to add our own props to it.

I have no idea how to mod though so would have to be left to the experts.

One thing I liked about Simcity 2013 was the construction animation. There was a lot of traffic on the construction site, workers, and on the last level, tall buildings had cranes. It's weird that Colossal took the easy way, I think it's a important aspect in this type of game.
Construction doesn't have to take years in the game, but a bit longer than now with good realistic animation. It is a pity that the modders did not try to improve it in the current game and add at least construction cranes.

I can't tell for certain what is in store but since you're currently looking for people to work with a new unannounced non-historical grand strategy game I'm hopeful it is CS 2...

I hope CS 2 have two different graphics setting. First is realistic mode and second is low poly mode. It's awesome too

Please people. I am huge fan of your game and community itself quite astonishing. However, if you will not leverage properly multithreading and will not utilize GPUs properly, providing all the performance available for at least 60 fps solid - I will not buy the next one. Cause that fact that game become literally unenjoyable cause of frame drops - observing is one of the cornerstone parts of the game - even rig for 10k will not give you much with big variety of added content and huge cities. I am just honestly saying that if technical stuff will still be there - will be proof that company not actually care about their community. Which they often claim opposite.

And I am desperate to be proven wrong)

Pls add light rail system this time. More options for urban rail transit. Not only lay down loop lines to change direction, also stub end stations do the same. Besides the driveway of the main roads no longer sunken into the ground. No matter what type the roads are, they are all on the same level, the sidewalks can be a level higher

I think it's two things: an early news for a pre pre pre pre alpha version of CS2 and a little DLC for waiting time... If this is the case, I'll buy it both

Traffic is the number one issue with the game, has been from the beginning. The core path-finding element for vehicle AI to get from point A to B is too simplistic and leads to massive traffic jams unless, as you stated, you build out infrastructure to trick the AI into making different decisions.

Not to mention the single best way to influence the AI in a semi-realistic fashion is to use the Traffic Manager mod to change the rules for roads and intersections down to individual lanes. There are a lot of CS players who don't mod their game and so don't have access to that kind of fine-tuning.
I don't know about you whether you live under a rock but real life traffic is like that, people don't go down new roads because they only know the way they have been going for ages, and for traffic jams, they are fine, your city having a traffic jam, which seems like the case is probably lack of care and detail, even without the TM mod you can create cities with 80+ traffic. Stop complaining and be grateful ffs.
