Splitting a two-way road into two one-way roads without intersection

I've spent a while trying to put together something like this in the asset creator, but to no avail.

It's not really a junction, it's just a way that some roads around here work. A two lane road will diverge into a pair of one-ways -- effectively the median just slowly grows until there's a whole block in-between.

If I take a two-way medium-sized road and attach a pair of one-way roads to the end, it creates a three-way intersection and cars come to a stop (or do U-turns). There should be no interruption in traffic flow if this were implemented as a proper split.
