Public transport (Mainly buses) is useless right now. an idea that would make it more useful.
The most important thing public transport needs is some kind of timing. With the current version, I have 15 buses go out on a route clogging up the roads, then masses of passengers waiting through a gap for them to come back. Can we have some kind of time control, even if it is just the ability to set a delay amount between the departure of each bus from its starting point and or depot so they are more spaced out... its kind of killing the game as I like city building, but OCD means I have to do it right, and optimally. I can't keep my services in order :( Is there a possibility for this.... Please? ;) :P

I completely relate to this and fully agree, I setup a massive bus line that covered my villages, I had tonnes of buses, even when I made the bus routes smaller, there seem to be a problem with the amount on the same line, too close to one another. so yeah, maybe some option in the bus depot, so you can set the delay when the next bus leaves.

Glad its not just me. I understand why they didn't overcomplicate it with timetables and that sort of thing, but they simplified it a little too much I think as I can't use them optimally for anything. they just clog up traffic everytime they complete their route, then leave lots of people stranded until the come and clog it all up again.

While it might be nicking an idea, but if I recall correctly Train Fever dynamicaly updates the time table of the buses and whatnot depending on how popular the line is and it delays the arrivals and departures depending on when people wait more etc.

in hre the busses all stream out at once eg: build station,build route, and they all charge out straignt after wach other. they need to be spread out more so that you don't have then going to a bus stop on the same route while the other is still there. spread them out a bit time wise

Just re-read this, makes more sense than it did this morning, must have been half dead :P while it sounds good, I prefer the idea of being able to control the quantity and timing of my routes so im not still dispatching upto 10 on a rural route for example.
We need a list of bus lines as well

Yeah. maybe with information about how many people are waiting to board a line so we know when more/less buses are needed so we can tailor our buses to our efficiency needs.

even if they waitied like 10-30seconds before they started another bus on the same rout. I mean that busses in real life aren't/don't run on peek usage performance. and sometimes i've seen busses in real life running empty. just need to spread them out a bit more than they are

Thats it isn't it. being able to pick the quantity and timing would be an extra plus for those who are like me and assign colours, names & route numbers to their routes like a saddo :P

busses aren't like taxies.. they don't just sit around till they have passengrs to ick up. They do their routs at intervals. so all they need to do is delay when they leave the depot so that they don't just stream out one after the other. I don't care about setting times or waiting for passengers on route etc. so long as they are spread out and not in a clump

Same, thats the minimal for me, but the extras I suggested I would like if they wanted to... Maybe so you can tick advanced mode in your bus station to enable it all :P

I have traffic problem but only vehicles are: busses, police cars, medcars, fire trucks, deathcare cars where 80% of them are busses :D

Would love some higher degree of control, more like CiM 2. That's what I expected and is the only flaw in this young game that bothers me.
Hope the Dev's will pick it up. It will add spice to the game.
