I only use skyve for the mod compatibility report or subscribing to all workshop when I switch saved games.
It is a bear to work around. I even avoid using the skyve fix buttons. they never seem to work right. I just read the compatibility report, then open up my favorite web browser and go to the steam workshop and search for the mods it wants me to replace and do it manually one at a time.
Maybe post what you are trying to use Skyve for, and maybe we can offer specifics on making it work for you.
If you have different builds ith different assets (and mods) for each build. Skyve it the easiest way to manage the mods and assets as you can create a profile for each build and switch through them quickly. This way you don;t have to load everything ito the game, saving lots of RAM usage.
If you use the Editor, then the same applies. Quickly switch from your profile for ordinary city building with lots of assets and mods, to a profile that contains only the mods and assets you need in the Editor.
For me, Skyve is a must. The compatibility report a nice bonus.
Yes, and I used it to get through some problems some months ago, then removed it. I don't find it necessary to be permanently subscribed. It served its function once. Job done.
Granted it takes a bit of time to find your way around the mod, but considering the options it provides, that time is well spent.
