cities skylines is known to be multi-threaded
sad that the community needs to make mods to finish game, the devs diddnt add anything
and
is their a mod to add multi thread? no.. game sucks to put cherry on top the fact they don't care for the customers feedback should just appal you. You dont go to a restraunt again after the waiter was rude and or the tablles are dirty along with the seats you sit on... if you do you frankly stupid as you're giving money to someone who doesn't care about you.. the customer.
Depends on how spectacular the food is...
Eh ? CS looks better ?
Ok, here is what you can do with CXL:

I really, really doubt CS can look that good, and that you can do as much than that with this 'game'
Just look at the farms (yes, they are not modded)
Ok, so the community thing with CS will be as bad as in CXL if I follow your logic ?
As for multi thread, well.... since the point of the thread is to compare CXXL and CS.... CXXL will have multi-thread support.
And I have a lot, and I mean a LOT of playtime on CXL, all games cumulated maybe more than a thousand hours. I know all it's flaws and stooped playing it by rage a lot of time too.
But in the end, I'm still playing it, building great cities. Will I be able to do the same in CS ? For what I saw until now, no.
Maybe with the community content. But like you said, it's sad that a game wold need community content to be playable. let me add to this, it'as sad that a game recquire community content to be appealing and be the only selling point.
EDIT: Oh, and before any of you says that CXXL is another paying patch, I'll say, yes it's true and bouh FHI, very bad FHI, by the way it's not even a development studio, just a publisher, CXXL is their only 'active' project in 'development'. But in the end, when I llook at the DLC politic of Paradox, CXL (2011+2012+platinium+CXXL) cost me less than CIM 1 & 2 +all dlcs.....
So will CS +dlcs be cheaper than CXXL ?
I think I'm Cities XXL and Cities: Skylines.
I think one will be a City Builder that I'll enjoy creating cities with and one will be a City Builder Game that I'll enjoy building cities with.
You can be damn sure both CS and CXXL won't be perfect down to the tiniest details. What I can't find in one title I will find it in the other.
i agree, space in SimCity is so sparse it feels so restricted. I want to have a populated, well designed city that's profitable and also do some of the more interesting things but there just honestly wasn't any room in the city at all to build anything. The failures of public transport in that game hurts a lot too.
the AI has very strange behaviour overall. i am very glad this is coming from devs who have experience
By the way everyone, Should i play cities in motion 1 or 2, i own both on steam from a humble bundle i think but havent gotten around to playing them.
You...WHAT!?
*SMACK!*
Ow. so which one do you reccomend haha
OK, now this has pricked up my ears and this game is now added to my wishlist. Any decent city builder on Linux is a welcome. I just hope they can deliver. CitiesXXL is nothing more than a tweak for the previous games. That's fine if I can buy it for $10, but even at $20 (50% off for owners of previous games in series), I don't see myself spending that on a glorified patch.
SimCity doesn't even enter into the city building genre because...you can't...build...cities. Only villages...god I hate EA so much, subhumans run that company, they are proof that evolution is blind as a bat.
