There are a million patents on quack "cures".
Doesn't necessarily mean they actually cure anything. Patent US5676977 comes to mind.
I'm just saying... don't look too closely at patents, and who owns them. You'll end up deeper in conspiracies than a conspiracy nutter.
In some respects, I can see why: The last thing this planet needs is longer-living humans. But mainly it's to protect profits of big pharma, or the "illness preservation industry" as I call it.
I'm not disagreeing with him, but I was honestly just mostly interested if anyone thought it was balanced or not in game 0.o
