Can you create a 'slip road'?
I'm liking the road system so far but need help with this. When i link a road to a larger road with more lanes ( they are both one way roads) i expected traffic to just be able to filter into this road but instead it creates traffic lights causing people to stop were there is no need. Not sure why this is happening. Any tips.

There are slip roads for highways available in roads menu. Also a mod that lets you remove traffic lights.

i placed a slip road and it makes no diffrence , it isnt a slip road it still creates traffic lights . Not sure why its called a slip road then.

I assume that "slip road" is another term for on-ramp (never heard the term used in the US). While on-ramps only work for highways, you can use this mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=411833858&searchtext=traffic+light+toggle) to remove the traffic lights from the intersection. This will do exactly what you want it to and traffic will merge onto your roads like it does on highways.

Get the traffic light mod, it worked for me
I think slip roads only act as slip roads should on highways.

For some reason this game seems to think roundabouts are the only efficient means of a junction. Maybe the Devs are from Milton Keynes. It is announg when all you need is a filterning lane and your only option ends up in traffic lights.

2 lane roads into other 2 lane roads also yield no traffic lights, as well as 2 lane into highways and such. When building cities I mostly avoid 4 and 6 lane roads because of the traffic lights they bring.

yep

Thanks everyone that mod to remove traffic lights did the job and it acts like a slip road now.

The Traffic Manager mod is better, there are more options for roads/traffic lights
