Highway to large road
I'm new, so forgive me if it's standard knowledge (I'm sure it is ;)
Starting a new city, the Highway ends with 2 nodes, one 3 lane oneway for one direction, one 3 lane oneway for the other direction. I want to attach a huge 6 lane road, 3 lanes for each direction, but there is only 1 node to attach.

Is there an assett in the workshop for a six lane road with 2 nodes at the end, so I can attach both highway parts directly to the standard road? If not: how do I solve this?

The short answer: You can attach both an incoming and outgoing highway section to the single node of the 6 lane road:

The longer answer: there are better ways to join highways and roads:
- Roundabouts
- Highway Ramps
- Mods for efficient Highway/Road Intersections.

At the very least, consider a vanilla roundabout:

That's my problem. In Germany it's standrad in bigger cities that a standard road becomes a little wider and then the road merges smoothly into a motorway. And vice versa. This solution shown in your image is

Yes, I used this solution before. But I want to build the center of my home town more or less. But there is no roundabout ;)

There isn’t, and in truth there doesn’t need to be.

1) use 2 lane one way road
2) with the straight road tool, extend the incoming node by 10 units
3) draw from there to the exit node

Yes it doesn’t look great, but it will work great for quite some time

Yup. A limit of the game. Try playing with Highway ramps (one lane, fast roads available from the Hwy tab). You might get it a little closer to your vision.

Roundabouts are available on the Intersections tab.
You'll have to modify them.

1. Choose a roundabout and plop it down centred on where you want it.
2. Bulldoze the extra roads that come with it.
3. Use the "!" road tool to convert the remaining roads to a one-way type you prefer.
4. Attach your existing roads.

A time-saver, maybe, but functionally identical to vanilla intersection I posted in post #2:

Yes, you're right, but I tried for hours to let it look that way. And I've found some other "highway end" solutions. I'll try them out and will give feedback. Thanx o/

I would use the node controler mod

Indeed. If I were stranded on a deserted island and could bring only one Mod with me, that mod would be Fine Road Anarchy.
