game gets slow when my city grows a lot (100K pop)
oh make sure you have a 64bit OS or it wont work
I can run the game, but just with low details, but I am very lucky to can play this game!
- 1280x720 fullscreen
- shadow quality: off
- shadow length: very short
- texture quality: low
- level of detail: low
- anisotropic filtering: disabled
- anti-aliasing: disabled
On a 400 population map, I have between 25-40 fps,
on a 60.000 population map I have between 10-20 fps. (not really much... but better than not can play this game! :D )
I take it you can't watch, TV, Films, youtube videos without being sick either then?
20-30fps works in a game like this, again not the nicest looking or smoothest experience but certainly playable. Even 12fps would still just about work (barely), anything less and the game just feels too laggy and is pretty much in unplayable territory.
If 30fps is making you sick, it sounds like either your brightness is too high or you're sitting too close to the screen.
Once, I'm done with the city and I want to take some good screenshots or a make a video, then I want it looking as best it can.
I can show you what I can achieve.
This train ride is at 30 fps and takes you around my Colossal Circle City of 318k population at the time. I use a GTX560Ti. Admittedly, the ride doesn't go through the centre which would have slowed it, but then I did also use post processing FX and all graphics settings are on high to highest.
