many more guides both here on steam and through google.
BUT I don't just want to bash you or anything alike!
Take some advice:
1. Build like you see roads around in your own city where you live. (thats pretty general and wont help you right away but you may see the point I want to mention)
2. There are guides out there that explain the way of good street-building, search them on the "guide section"
3. There can be subjective issues with traffic lights, you can get a mod (if you want to) to enable or disable them at will. (search for "no more traffic lights" in the workshop)
I hope you are a bit more pleased and don't want to release your anger on me ;P
Fixing your traffic problems is much harder in this game than previous ones. You can't just provide options, you have to force people to do what you want.
