Pushing a budget over 100% - what effect does it have?
If I change the budget slider to fund something more than 100% does the extra funding make it more efficient?

if you highlight over each budget, it will have a little pop up telling you what it does if you add more budget to that service.

I wish I could find where I read it, but it was something like cutting the budget to 50% cut the efficiency by 50%, but raising it to 150% only raised the efficiency by 25%

cut budget by 50% buildings at 25% capacity
Raise budget by 50% buildings at 125% capacity

raised budget dont seem to increase range of services in any other form then more vehicles so its better longterm to just build a new building to cover the need

upkeep is higher when at 150%

your actually paying 50% higher upkeep for 25% more service

its better to build more new buildings and lower it to about 90-95% and then raise it back to 100%
many thanks! I didn't see the mouse hover info as I wasn't in game when I posted. :loss:

Only thing you should raise it for is masstransit, they will add more buses/trains and so on without having to add extra lines.

Everything else it's just a waste (unless you use the unlimited money I guess)
Makes sense thinking about the mass transit example.

you can also just set a 2nd line to overlap the first line then you get 2x the busses/trains at a fraction of the cost...

And a lot more traffic jams. I have all my lines going the same path but both ways (if that makes sense) if I'd do 4 lines there the traffic would never move =p

Ah.

well dont do 4 then... and also there are some mass transit hub assets that are quite nice to use

another tip dont put a busstop every 20 meters it just slows everything down with the buses gettin in and out of the lanes

except that it is way more then 25%
when you drop the education form 100% to 50% the the school go from 300 to 75 places/ 80$ week.
wehn you bump it to 150% it go up to 375 places at 240$ /week

300 * .25 = 75.
1.25 * 300 = 375
