Too many sick citizens?
I have a ciy of 70k and about 15k of them are sick. Traffic is not bad and I have 15+ hospitals serving the city. How come citizens are so sickly? And how is it that every single one of the sick persons requires pick up by an ambulance? This doesn't make sense. Most visitors to hospitals get their on their own, not by ambulance.

The same goes for hearses for corpse pick up. If you have a stinky dead body in your house and a hearse is not going to come for another month, are you going to just let it rot or are you going to load it into your car and dump the body in a cemetary on your own?

Ambulance and hearses should be removed. Hospitals should just have an area of effect. As for corpses, when a person dies, a funeral procession should spawn and drive to the burial location.

From what I read, with the exception of beds, four medical centers give you better coverage than one hospital in terms of costs and response time. Four medical centers will cost €40,000 with €1,600 upkeep and send out 32 ambulances compared to one hospital which will cost €65,000 with €2,400 upkeep and send out 25 ambulances. The hospital will have 500 beds while four medical centers will have 400 beds.

Also, four medical centers will probably have less traffic congestion since they are spread out compared to the one hospital.

Since this is a simulation, citizens that are sick but don't need an ambulance don't show up although they would be represented by some of the vehicles you see stopping at the hospital or medical center.

If you have 15k sick people in your city then you have something else causing your issue. The only time that many people would end up sick naturally is if you had no medical coverage at all in your city for an extended period of time. That isn't the case so you are overlooking something.

First thing that comes to mind is sewage. Where is your water pump in relation to your outflow pipe? If poopy water isn't the cause then check your pollution areas. Is purple grass near any residential zones or water towers?

Lol@pick up the body yourself and drop it at a cementery... In what 3rd world country do you life where that is actually not illegal?

Back to your problem: assuming your hospitals are nicely spread out and no traffic jams hindering your ambulances and assuming aswell your health budget is above 75%, the reason is most probably pollution.

People check ground pollution pretty often, but you might have forgotten to check noise pollution. And like someone said: make 100% sure your water entrance is clean.

Hint: when you open info on a building with sick people, hover the mouse over the sick icon on the left and it will tell you why this persons are sick.

Also saw something about a *working* water treatement plant, that seems to work fine at the beginning when you first use it, but then cause you a lot of troubles... So yeah I know that game is fully moddable and full of nice players created stuff, but sometimes you should maybe just considering that what a player create may sometimes not work as intended.

Using only the wanilla for the exception of a few parks and intersections, I have to say I tend to have no issues at all with my game experiance. If something goes wrong it's all about me and nothing else.

@BonPadre agree. it's always best to play a few days (when buying the game) without any mods, to see what the game can do and how it works "unaltered" ... then if you download a mod you can detect easier if the mod is broken or not.
