Can't exit asset or map editor any more.

Hey guys - since the mini update this afternoon (March 3rd UK time), I can no longer quit or do anything really from either the asset or map editor. I cannot quit to main menu or desktop - the main menu and desktop buttons simply do nothing and I also can't create anything new. If I try to create a new map or asset, the buttons again do nothing. I can only hard-close from task manager in Windows. Otherwise the game is unchanged but hard-closing every time I make an edit in my map is really frustrating and it didn't do that yesterday :-)

Same here ... thought there might be a problem with any mod ... do you use some?

Mine ended up being a mod problem, ye4s. Can't be sure which though. I'd subscribed to 5 or 6 that day and unsubscribed from them all and it worked.

this mod is the source of the problem in my case ... don't know what this little help button has to do with a complete ui fail but ... deleted :)

I have the exact same issue and have many mods loaded which could be the culprit.

Traffic Manager
Extended Road
One Way Street Arrows
Pop Balance
American Roads
Tree Brush

Trying to think of commonalities between any of these mods and the Help Button Remover. Extended Road, One Way Street Arrows, and Traffic Manager seem to add buttons.

Did each of those mods cause a problem on their own? Would be useful to know what mods exactly cause problem so we can list it in the bugfix guide and also let the authors know.

For me it was only the helpbuttonremover and none of the other mods

With this latest problem, I can't exit the editors with traffic manager enabled. It is definitely the culprit. Thankfully it doesn't adversely effect the actual game, only the editors so it's just a case of disabling it before doing any editing and re-enabling it before playing the game :-)

Everyone using Traffic Manager - Please try deactivating it and try again to see if the problem persists. It is a common issue for people using TM that the in-game editor won't exit properly

So the two mods that break it are:

* Traffic Manager
* Help Button Remover

The sad part is that it's a really easy fix to implement, just look at game mode to detect if in asset or map editor and don't initialise the mod.

Same two for me.
I reported the bug for Help Button Remover weeks ago, but the author doesn't seem to care.
Traffic Manager i only noticed recently.

Pretty sure that bloke who makes Traffic Manager will fix his mod, as for help button remover I've even gone so far as to post some sample code and still no updates :/

Add me to the list, exiting to menu or to desktop just causes it to crash.

Deactivate Traffic Manager then. How hard can it possibly be???
