A way to clean the sea?

Hi guys, is there a way to clean the sea? It gets pretty purple on my city and I want to know if there is a way to fix this

sewage treatment plants help with sewage, not pollution though.

pollution degrades over time, are you using water treatment plants for 80% less pollution compared to sewage?

- ps: water pollution also effects the shore(ground)

When you get enough population you will unlock Water treatment plants, they will take the place of your sewage drains, 1 for 1 swap them and between the current and the new recycled sewage water being dumped it will clear it right up.

use the water treament plants, and having 50 % more water intake and treatment then usage aquies to use, then it's only a matter of passing time

Once you have unlocked all the unique buildings and achievements and then wish to use mods, or if you don't care about the those and are happy to use mods right away, then you could use the mod that makes the purple/brown discoloration invisible. You can find it here,

Well I belive the Eden Project cleans ground pollution not sure about whater (but I had noticed the water got very clean not long afterwards if u teatment plants.)

if you build a dam that cuts off a small section of river, you then can place all of your water treatment/ sewage treatment behind the dam, and the pollution wont cross over

The OP wants his blue seas. He's not looking for a water pollution fix, he just doesn't want to see his coastlines full of ****

I just built the eden project and all my sewage outlets turned to clean water :D

You can use a seperate water system for that. Enough pumps in the right place to generate some flow, water treatment in a place where it's convenient > you got yourself another treatment loop. It could also be a permanent fixture (putting the pumps near the drinking water pumps, to stop sewage from reaching them)

Just really watch that plumbing and make sure this is not connected to the main water system.
