Custom Map not listed

I created a custom map, it is turned on in the content manager, but does not show up in the main list of maps when I start a new game.

You probably missed the tick box for 'publishing' the map for new games. It doesn't post to workshop, just so your game can see it. Also, be sure to enter name in that slot to left as the content editor tool has a bad habit of using same name for a prior map you may have eyeballed.

Thanks, got it showing up. Now I noticed it doesn't show water flow in the river. Where did I go wrong?

Bleh, I hate borderline necroing, but I'm so happy I found this thread, spent hours making a new custom map, and the frustration was real when I couldn't get it to show on my listings.

Scratch that, found it - it's in the save panel in the map editor for anyone who finds this thread in future.

i checked the tick box and everything but i still can't find the map i created when i wanna play it as new game but if i wanna load it to edit again using map editor, its just here, other than this, its not here

You also need to enable it in the content manager, idk why people don't vallue poinint that out along with the save map tick box..
P.S. For me it always shows as ''new map'' instead of the map name i saved it under

If when you go to publish you will look to the right side of the box under the picture you will see where it says "New Map" regardless of the name you gave the save when published to your New Maps list it will show up by what ever name is in that box. So overwrite the new map with my new map and then when you open the new maps list your map will show as My New Map. Easy step to miss. I've done it often and still do now and then.

Yeah just discovered that trying trying to sort it out, didn't edit my most felt like it re-stated the whole not mentioning key functions versus just overlooking things pretty well.
It might help those who over look.. but the enabling in content manager is the bigger thing.
