Houses say "Not Enough Electricity" despite having available electricity. [Solved, my mistake]
EDIT: MY BAD! NO BUG, I had a power source that was separate from the rest, that wasn't connected fully (after building a road).

My city is crashing, people are moving out.

I get a lot of buildings saying "Not Enough Electricity" despite production being higher than consumption and they are all connected to the grid.

Is this a bug or some game mechanic I don't understand?

I'm getting the same error, and it just started yesterday. Been buying lots of wind turbines and hooking them directly to the affected areas, but it does keep happening, even with electricity fully in the green.

Maybe you accidentally destroyed a connection between some of your production and the affected zones

Then the zone wouldn't be blue and the wires connecting the areas wouldn't be blue either. This has to be a bug

Yeah, everything is blue, blue, blue. It may be because I'm on a mod map. I didn't have this issue on a canned map before yesterday and didn't test it yet today. (Darn work!! Darn bills that have to be paid!)

The houses appear to be fully connected to the power source, as shown in screenshot and I'm not using any mods at all.

It's very frustrating, and I'm losing citizens. No point in playing (and don't want to restart) until I have a solution. If it is a bug, it's a game-breaking one for me. =/

The only idea i have:
You got several Locations where Power is generated but not all Zones are inter-connteced with each other so that the Power of one Location is not aviable for the whole City but only the sub-section it is actually connected to. Which leads to "not enough power" for the Zone cause it got to big for its seperated PowerGenerator.

But this is just a idea cause i can't see your whole city structure + powerlines from the small screenshot.

But if all your Zones are inter-connected with each PowerLocation than it must be a bug.

Make one completely connected grid. End of story.

@Caliber Upload your city to the workshop so I can test it out

Probably have another powerplant that is not hooked up to that same grid as those buildings are. If not every single power plant is hooked up to the same grid network then the available power will be wrong.
kryo Mar 21, 2015 @ 7:34am
Yep. Probably incinerators disconnected from the rest of the grid.
deanna2112 Mar 21, 2015 @ 7:37am
I had the same problem and it turned out to be what others are saying..having separate power stations on two different grids.
Blue Mar 21, 2015 @ 7:39am
Going to try that too. I have 3 separate 'grids', so may be the issue. Thank you, all.

It's not game breaking for me, not in the least. Just a challenge! Now to wait those 10 more hours before I can go home...

Keeping all grids (i have 4) connected fixed it for me.
Wolvyreen Jul 15, 2017 @ 3:01am
Definitely still a bug! I confirmed that by connecting a separate grid together and the problem disappeared immediately.

I had the same problem, the solution is connect your other energy supplies in your city.

The bar shows the total amount of energy but it didn't show the generators distribution.

1. This image shows, how I have on the left-top 3 wind generators and on the left button 5, these are not quite visible, but my city is only connected to the top-left generators.

2. In this mage I connected my 5 left-bottom wind generators to the city.
