City Stopped Growing?!
@100k population my city simply stopped growing. Population gain is 30-60 at tops, i have checked Electricity, plumbing, water, garbage disposal, fire-security-health services, schools (all three kinds), roads (i actually almost redo whole city @80k), i am actively using 3 parts of the map (1 the initial starting zone and +2 purchased) one for industrial, one for residental and commercial and the initial starting zone is a mix. i have seperated dumping zones so there is absolutely zero pollution in residental/commercial zones.

I have space elevator or whatever it is called and multiple unique buildings including statue of liberty but as i mentioned those 2 extra zones are only half full. I don't know why but after an hour or so (on fastest speed) my population only grew 3k. Average health is 90+, crime is less than %4, happiness is 90+.

Some few (max. of 5-6) buildings are requiring raw materials (but they are working as usual) but i dont think that is the reason. Any help?

People dont like to work far away and maybe you hit the range cap on that. I had to redo my city for that very reason ^^
Just try and set a few residential zones near your industry and see if they grow quickly.

Have you hooked up the train lines for cargo and passengers? Having the ability for extra citizens to arrive in your city via trains/boats may give you a boost in people arriving and thus speed growth. I noticed a big spike in population growth after putting in the extra methods myself.

People also don't like high taxes. In case you might have raised them.

i dont think that is it because as i mentioned top zone is for industriald (industrial only), middle zone is initial starting zone (full of commercial/residental) and the bottom zone which is focusing on residental and commercial (only a quarter full)

i dont think so, i have a train system on top zone which is used for commercial, one (at the bottom) airport close to bottom commercial/residental zone, one (i forgot the name so ill call it shipyard) "shipyard" close to that airport, and a cargo "shipyard" close to middle zone, connected to all three zones with 3rd level road (not highway but the closest)

tl:dr all transports are connected and probably set correctly BUT train station is NOT connected directly to residental zones and do you think that is the only reason?

tbh i forgot that part. when my city treasure @-650k i raised taxes to %10 with those extra %2 policies (total of %12) ill try to lower that maybe with the relief policies and post a screenshot if i manage to do so.

Nah having a single passenger station is enough(atleast for me it has been thus far).

I don't go over 10% tax on residential, 11-12% for the rest.

Also you've definitely put parks in your newest high density zoning right? I'm talking about where it hasn't been built yet. I find that they seem to help growth as well has happiness for some reason and buildings will be built beside the parks before anywhere else.

not specifically parks but i placed a lot of unique leisure buildings (since it is also a requirement for space elevator etc.) and all the schools, fire-police-health services are correctly placed. roads are with decorations (absolutely zero traffic problem) ill lower the taxes first and try placing some more parks

nope, neither parks nor tax relief helped. it lowered my earnings from 25k/week to 10k/week that is all; (as you can see almost half of the zone is empty and there is no demand for anything

Add more commercial in order to create more jobs and thus get more demand for residental areas. Make sure you still build low density commecial as well, I normally make 3/4 high and one quater low for commercial.

Why low commercial?

You have demand for commercial
Mr. Fender Mar 22, 2015 @ 2:58am
tax at 9% and city policy to raise as necessary to make up for when weekly budget dips below 50k. ~3 mil banked at all times with +400 population growth consistently. 127k pop so far.

From what I can see in that image:
Try not to overzone so much.
You do have demand for commercial and from what I see you have a lot more LD than HD commercial, so add in some more high density. This will create jobs for your better educated workers and increase demand for industry.
You also don't seem to have much office industry.
There are an awful lot of 4 way intersections. When your city grows in pop, that will become a traffic nightmare and also cause undesirable noise pollution. Try laying your roads out for T intersections wherever possible and avoid 4 way.
To compund that you have your residential areas too close to your commercial. Commercial is a noise polluter also. Tree lined roads will not be enough to limit it and you will find yourself suffering what many complain about when their pop reaches larger sizes. Undefinable increases in sickness. This is due to noise, so corrrect the problem before it happens. Provide a little more breathing room between your residential and commercial. Using offices to seperate the two types of zone is a good method since offices do not pollute.
Good luck ;)
