Coal/Oil power plants can't get fuel?

It seems like everytime I bluid a power plant that's not wind, the power plant stops working after running out of fuel to run off. Is there a mod for this? It ruined one of my cities.

I haven't had a problem with coal plants running out, but I know my oil plant needed me to build an oil industry to supply it.

Or import raw materials (highway / train / ship connections).

Had the same problem, both my coal and oil plants would constantly complain about resources. Eventually just demolished em all and built solar plants.

Only instances of plants running out of fuel have been because they were at the end of a massive one-way-only route or with otherwise defficient accessibility.

Oooo ok ^^ that helped. I just isolated my plants and now they are doing ok :)

well make sure the roads in are not backed up to where the shipments can't get out in a timely pace.

Had the same problem. Relocated a plant right next to a cargotrain station; nothing happened for a long time. Bulldozed it and build a nuclear powerplant. I'm having some issues with import/export of raw materials and cant figure out what the hell is causing it. Happened all of a sudden and affected industry. Bulldozed it all away and the new indusrty seems to be calling in supplies again. Traffic increase is very noticeable

Yea, I went with nukes. Seems the be the best powerplant.
I did notice that highways when they get backed up. No one gets fuel.

I had a problem like this, and the worst part was, it was a Oil Plant, and it was right next to an area rich with oil, designeated to drill the oil. But instead of drilling the oil, they just built a bunjch of factories and imported all the pil they needed. And all their imports blocked the Power plant's oil from getting there. It was infuryiating

Set your industry district to oil industry and they'll use the resources until they run out.

I've got beautiful and perfect traffic controlled roads, and I still can't get any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coal or oil to my power plants either! wtf D:
