GTX 970 Performance Problem
Hey!, New to Steam, anyways the game is great but when I start expanding and create a big city (4 regions and not everything full of buildings) zoomed in drops to like mid 20's and scrolling is very slow. All settings are set to max but I have changed then to the lower settings and same thing (as with resolution) currently playing 1080p. Latest Nvidia drivers, good cooling, Windows 8.1. My video card is not even getting to 60% utilization with the game

Have done Dx9 (same performance)
No overlay (Same)
Clean Windows Install (Same)

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I'm having issues also but from the start, I've got one region and about 1000 peeps in my town but it's already starting to lag.

i have also had to do the DX9 trick and it has helped alot but still stuttery nasty performance from my specs

CPU: I7 4770K @ 4.4ghz (temp 45c max during game)
GPU: GTX 770 4GB (temp 55c max during game)
RAM: 16GB DDR3
HDD: Standard 1tb Seagate

really disappointed with it i cant have a desent game. runs any other game maxed out 60fps +

That seems really odd. I"ve got a similiar system, 4 regions now and consistently get 60-100 fps with everything set to max at 1920x1080.

CPU: i5-4670k
GPU: GTX 970
RAM: 16GB
OS: Win 8.1

GTX970 owner, City is at 50K, 8 tiles unlocked, smooth as butter. You may have some other bottleneck in your system.

Everything is running perfect for me. No stuttering or FPS dips at all.

Might not be your card.

(You both have the same processor, that might be something to look into).

i5-4690k
GTX970
16GB Ram
Win 7 Ultimate 64bit

My fps drops to around 30 when I zoom in and stays 60+ when zoomed out.
Also I have basically the same fps performance at all resolutions I have tried from 1080p to 4k.

i7 4770 and 8.1 only difference to above, exact same.

Static, not moving, 60 fixed, no FPS issue. Zoom or turning drops to ~40. I'm maxed.

Not serious but yes, it's noticeable.

You can force VSync/GSync on via Nvidia Control Panel. Helps your gfx card from stressing out over too many frames.

I have similiar problem. I have i7 4770K pared with Gigabyte GTX 970 gaming G1 and 2x8GB ddr3 1600mhz. I am running game from HDD is that matter . I builded a lil bigger than small sity and on highest i have 18 fps (when zoomed out i have 57fps) and when i have everything on lowes i have 31fps (when zoomed out i have 65fps). My pc isn't utilized in 100% (CPU - 40% , GTX - 30% and ram is 12gb of 16) also drives aren't on 100% so idk whats the problem :/
