Shipping Routes In Map Editor

Hi All, Does anybody know of any tutorials for creating shipping routes in the map editor? I am trying to build a shipping route but when I get to the edge of the map it is saying "water needed" even though there is water there.

To build the Ship route connections you have to make sure your sea level is raised up enough that there would be seawater where your river meets the edge of the map.
