I wouldn't have a product I made translated because I cannot know that the translation is faithful to my intent. This requires a lot of intimate trust.

There is Chinese language already. It's not done by offical but it's well translated.

I'm going to be the brutally honest person here and tell you to learn English. We're going to the trouble of learning your "massive and global" language, least you could do is return the favour.

That being said - Game already supports chinese characters since Unity does. I suggest you go find a Chinese based modder on the official modding subforum and see if you can convince them to start translating the game itnerface.
yes ,you are right! learning more is good for ourself,i have try,but english is not useful around my life .its hard to learn it well if you dont use it usually.
And i have found that you said last,,,,i cant make sure if Steam will BAN my ID or not when i have the un officia things on the game .its so hard play a good game !haha

part of the problem is, translating to a lot of lanuages can be really expensive, your talking a lot of money to translate a few thousand words, and making sure that the langauge works correctly ingame.

you don't really see a lot of western games support far eastern languages, then again the same issue is with the russian language, and how hard that is both to support and convert.

I am really curious about how many kids are there on Steam. We chinese players are of course learning English, and what you kids should learn about is respect. This topic is nothing more than a feature request. As none of you are from the devs, it's really sick that you guys are talking about "nah no chinese", "oh you should mod the game" like you have developed the game.

Just use your parents' money and play your stupid lives and shut up your little mouth, we will thanks for that.

sorry to inform you, but I am an adult, not a kid, and what I said in my own post isn't disrespect but the truth. first the engine itself needs to support the given language, secondly, it DOES take a lot of money to translate games, and make sure the translation works with the game, I know this as I knew a professional translater, she would charge something like a dollar a word. so if you got several thousand words, then it does add up. and the russian langauge isn another tricky one to translate.

its not the case of no chinese, but if the game and engine supports it and how long it will take to make it work, your lanuage isn't the easiest to translate either. and why there is so little support for far eastern countries. plus due to the cost issue, if only a small fraction of people do buy the game, its then pointless to convert, as you not going to get the money back.

translation isn't a case of ask and it will be easy done, it doesn't work like that. plus the UI might need to be changed to make the new words fit / work.

there is a lot of factors when it comes to translating, not against having the language supported, but we have to be realistic.

If random EU countries such as Poland have their language supported, Chinese should have to.

I bet Chinese gaming community would outmatch Polish gaming community easily in terms of amount of players.

Sorry to inform you that I am from CS major and I know more about game engines than you I think. If you are from the dev team, I respect what you said. If you are not, youd better not critiq anything so easily.

1. As far as I can see, the author of this topic is just expressing his desire and requirements, not commanding the team to provide a language pack.

2. The game already support several languages. The game engine is not so poor as you said to support multiple languages.

3. Indeed developing games and translate them are hard and involve a lot of work. But that's why they need to be PURCHASED to be played. Chinese players also purchased the game. They has the right to say they need something. If publishing a language pack is too hard, they could allow users to add a language pack mod or allows 3rd party injections of language packs and delare that users using the packs will not be banned.

We need to be realistic, as if nobody says, nothing changes.

maybe there are some problems in translating or others, but we just want to have our native language in the game, like you guys already have.is it hard to understand by who is living in english-speaking countries?this game is selling well in China now,and a chinese version will help selling,so we still haven't a right to looking for a Chinese version?

then if its selling in that country, then fine, so it would be worth doing, but also part of the issue is, not every western game sells well in those eastern countries, so again, its down to cost, and time. so maybe a translator can be found to make sure that the language works in the UI, as its not going to work if the devs don't understand the language and not realise what words should go where. that wouldn't be very good now. still, its good to see that the game is sellling well, not against any lanuage being added.
