Mac laptop keyboard completely not working

Hello, I recently bought the game and the keyboard does not work at all during the menus or in the game. The mouse works though, but the game is currently unplayable :(

I have a 2014 Macbook Retina Pro Laptop. Never had this problem before in any game and have not managed to Google a solution.

I should add that it everything I type gets the that typical ugly Mac error noise.

Just a little bump. I can see this thread is full of people having fun enjoying this game, which is great, but I want to enjoy it with you!

Have you tried to disable the Steam overlay?

yes, I needed that to get over the initial issue of the menu being just a load of washed out textures.

For what I saw reviewed as a "bug free game", it is completely unplayable.

Very disappointed and will seek a refund if not fixed soon.

Okay, so I fixed it. The problem was I had "-popupwindow" in the launch options. I had tried this to fix the menu issue which was actually fixed with disabling the steam overlay.
