Anyone know where the game save location is?

my folder line ends at colossal order, and I cant load saves etc, also it is in my documents folder, think there is correlation?

Windows Key + R > shell:Local AppData > will send you directly in the good hidden folder, this is the "Colossal Order" folder in here

I tried all that, cant find my save games anywhere. Also none of my mods are showing up. When I start the game, "New Game" and "Load Game" are grayed out, and its showing no mods loaded. Any insight would be appreciated.

You're saying you do not see a folder named "Saves" at this location on your hard drive?
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Saves
Do you even see the Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines folder?
I suggest you check which download region you have Steam configured to and also run the Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Right click on CS from the Steam library listing, then select Properties, then local files.

My Steam files are in Programs (x86), and im getting ready to verify game cache now

The cache has been verified, but even before that the game went back to crashing at startup

Well there's the problem then, while the game and game data for CS will be in your Steam Directory, all of the personal data such as Saves, Maps, subscribed items etc. will normally be found in the C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines
Bear in mind that the appdata folder is a 'hidden' folder and you'll have to make it visible via folder options first.

Ok, I found the location, and see my saves, but there are no maps, or assets

Ok, let's test something. Here's a random map from the Workshop,

Please subscribe to it and once it has finished downloading, perform a search for "San Marino"
and you should find it in
Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\255710\606704426
You can then start the game, start a new map and San Marino will appear in the map list. Saving the game while in that map will create a save that will appear in the Saves folder at
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Saves
If it turns up there, then it's working as it should.
If it doesn't turn up there, then check to make sure Steam download region is configured correctly.
Assets and maps you subscribe to are not personal files and won't appear in Users. They are workshop content and will be stored in the Steam folder as above.
