Content Manager is not Working in Mac

Folks, When I try to use "Tools" Menu in my Mac (Yosemite OS) for creating new assets - either starting from scratch, or using an existing asset - the game becomes unresponsive. The only assets that seem to work are maps, connections and parks.

Can you guide me please? Is this a bug, Mac issue ( I hope not because I had similar issues with Sim CIty and it was very (I mean very) frustrating! Thanks in advance for responding

I have the same problem on Mavericks. I have to kill the game to continue if I try to create a new asset from a template, so sounds it like the same problem. Tried disabling the steam overlay but no luck. And tried with "Load existing props & decorations" checked and un-checked.

When you are in this screen, do all of the residential building templates (eg. "L1 2x2 Detached01") just appear as a white block structure?
