Not enough workers!
Help plz. Don't know what to do. Built an oil industry district. Do buses, parks, firestation and etc. But people didn't want work there!

your workers prefer to work somewhere else - especially if they are educated. but if there are enough workers in your city then they will also work those oil industry jobs - even if they are educated workers.

my advice is to zone more residential, or maybe just plop some parks near your current residential to help them upgrade - when the the houses or apartment buildings upgrade then they hold more citizens. note that it takes time for buildings to upgrade.

You might have too many well educated citizens that would prefer to work in offices or commerce areas. If you zone some more residential areas close by, you'll have new citizens that have low education and they'd probably work there.

Solved a problem. Main resource for low level industry is low living residental areas without any schools. Try to build your industrial area less than living. And buses + metro for people.

But do I have to set the new residentals close to the industry, where workers are needed or can I just set them somewhere? Cause I don't have space near my industrial areas at all! More like miles away (have 134k citizens).

I began to build new city and I had industrial zone near living zones and far from them. Industrial job places filled up in both cases equally, but I have all kind of transport (road, bus and metro) which connected living zones and industrial

Some of your cims will be in school and others will take openings that require education, but with time they will take the other jobs too. As for not zoning schools, it will only delay education. Your cims will get educated, even if on the other side of the map, it just takes a little longer.

expect to run into this problem the whole game it will never go away

actually i eliminated this problem by ignoring the residential demand indicator and just build residential zones until the jobs are filled. the workers don't care about their education level, they will happily hold an uneducated job. the thing is, the workers will take the best job they are capable of taking. if offices have job openings those will get filled first.

I think Oil industry also needs some educated workers. Check some of the buildings and see which education level the jobs are. Farming and Wood industry don't need educated workers.
