How to cargo trains work?
I put one in my industry, one in my city.. Nothing seems to happen and I can't do a line whatsoever :(

they work automatically. though it seems industry likes to ignore them sometimes. When my industry imports via ship, I have a cargo rail right at the port but they use the much much much longer highway instead. Exports work from it though...

Are both cargao stations connected by rail? Is there a connection from your rail to the rail of the map? I'm not sure if the stations are capable of spawning trains when they are not connected to the map rails.
yeah both are connected... also connected to the main passenger trains would that be the problem? And atleast now I know its automatic and I dont need to do a line, just need to know why they are ignoring it -_-
Train lines are only for passenger trains for inter-city passengers. Passengers (tourists?) going to and from your city will arrive in default-red trains and will travel to every connected passenger terminal irregardless of the lines you have set up. This can actually cause quite a lot of traffic problems (esp with level crossings).

Cargo trains are a LOT easier to use. They will import/export good to/from your city automatically (when connected to the map's main rail line (thank you, Xytop!)). Note that they will generate a LOT of truck traffic on the road connected to them, but they also generate quite a lot of revenue.

It needs a certain amount of goods delivered to the station to fill a train, then it automatically spawns and goes to the neverland
I noticed if you only have one cargo train, you get flooded with traffic from it.

Once you add a second, it nicely splits the cargo between the two of them. *whew*
