How to remove garbage landfill?

I can't remove garbage landfill, it keep show land not empty precaution when my mouse point it,
I play this game on mac by the way
OS X 10.9.5
pleae help!!! it block my way!

In order to delete a landfill it has to be empty. In order to empty it you have to have an incinerator.

Empty it. Its an option when you click it.

You need to have somewhere for the trash to go for it to be emptied.

When you select the landfill there will be an empty button, when you click it the garbage trucks will bring the trash to all available other landfills or incinterators, when it is empty you will be able to delete or move it. Same goes for graveyards.

Well... yeah? Where did you expect them to drive the trash to exactly? Back to people's homes?

Is ok now they moved to second landfill, I now can move the landfill!

Later on in the game you can build incinerators to burn the trash, so when you empty landfills then they are going to burn all the garbage.

I wouldn't recommend mass-emptying your landfills at once. It will spawn every single garbage truck in the city at once. Nassive gridlock - Besides the incenerators have a "warehouse" of their own on site and they will pick up garbage from landfills to keep stocked up.
