Population stays at 0 ?

Hi, I started a game and have a few residentials and everything a city needs. But the population stays at 0 :/

mine does the same thing, Im connected to power/water/highway, when I put down residential the houses build and my residential need is used up, but no citizens

Game not paused, they have electricity, water and everything else. Also a highway connection, but I see no cars driving around, so maybe I did something wrong. I just checked again but I can't find the mistake

I am in the same boat, have a highway connection, have power, water, have zoned RCI, have buildings there but 0 population and now I am losing moeny and am at a negative balance.

Oh.. Just remembered about this. Remove your road connection to the highway and replace it. It could be you placed 1 way roads going the wrong way.. If they are going out of the city, then nobody will come in.

The main thing is you need a road connecting to the highway, and it's 2 connections in that spot; so two road connections to that highway.

Use different map try again. You need homes, and places for people to work. Then come city services as you can afford them (aside of most basic). This is just general info. A road to outside is req. Maybe it is not to the "right" edge of the map or is too far(that would be a bug, if exists)? Look at the twitch feeds or live streams to see if anyone missed a step. There could be a bug, it's ground-zero for game release right now. Build basic road connection with CHEAP road to test that bypasses your main road - whatever the cheapest one supporting a map edge connection is.

I checked my roads the roads are fine I even upgraded to four lane no change. Whatever is causing it, it is not something we are not doing, looks like the map may be bugged. FWIW the map is two rivers.

Same here, have a very clear block of residential, commercial and industrial, all built on, no one way roads at all, everything is powered and watered/sewered and yet my pop count says 0.

Fixed mine by joining up the 2 seperate entry roads with a single small road so it went across them both and within seconds my pop count jumped from 0 to 1,231
