Why don't Cargo dock's have railroad connection?
I have watched a few let's plays and I have only seen roads connect to sea dock's for shipping cargo. Are they going to make it possiable to connect are railroad's to sea dock's? With traffic and all being how traffic is doesn't it make sense to be able to connect these two things together? Or will we be able to use the asset editor to create a shipping dock that can have a railroad connection hooked up?

Just wondering other than that everything I have seen looks awsome and I can't wait to get my paw's on it. I am so glad I pre ordered the day it was put on steam, I know this will be everything I wanted and more from a city builder that I didn't get from well we will just stop it their.

True and I know they have updated the game like 5 times since they handed out the game to streamers but I was just wondering and not jumping to conclusions. But I feel it is a good question to ask. Everything I seen is great just wondered why it is not like that considering they make transportation games and that would be key to keeping things flowing smoothly in are cities.

I don't think just adding a railroad track is going to make the cargo move from train to ship. The last time I checked the forum is for asking questions so I don't know what your problem is.

Ok I cant even find the shipping dock in the asset manager. The passanger dock is their but no cargo dock. Can it be modded and if so how do you do it? It would be great to be able to connect my cargo trains to my shipping dock. I don't like the idea of making a train yard next to dock then having lots of trucks going inbetween the two places. Lots of shipping docks have rail connections in the world.

I am not entirely sure if putting a train station next to the dock would work for cargo movement. That would depend on least-path figuring out that cargo->train train->unload unload-> dock was shorter / better than cargo -> dock.

I had the same thought, which is why it would be great if you could hook train lines right to cargo docks.
