City Builder -- Check, Open World Sandbox -- Uncheck
I always thought that the coolest game ever would be a mix of a city builder and an open world sandbox like GTA. Imagine being able to build your city and then drive around in it and cause chaos. I realize that we won't see that in this game, not even with mods (most probably). But, something to keep in mind for your guys next game, or perhaps expansion pack or DLC :)

Simcity 4, I believe Simcity 2000 had a helicopter game that you could fly through your cities. That sounds like a non-trivial addition regardless.

Yes it has been done to an extent by maxis and SC did have a way to drive the little cars around the city. But I am talking about building a city and then playing in it like GTA. Being able to hijack cars and drive them around, blow stuff up, shoot people, just in general the same kind of gameplay from recent SB games like GTA5, WatchDogs, Sleeping Dogs, etc. The gameplay of the SC4 driving was absolutely terrible, not even worth playing at this day and age. Same with SimCopter. we need a game like this, that lets you build immersive 3d cities and then a game like GTA that let's you zoom in to a persons perspective and drive cars, blow stuff up, just cause chaos. Seriously, this would be a hit. And then for players who don't want to build cities but just play in them they could download prebuild cities. And for those of you who don't want to play the sandbox side you could just build cities for others to play in.

GTA is not a sandbox, it's a theme park. Skylines can beclassified as a sandbox though.

no way man, they got a team working on it 24/7, but the team is to do art, story ect, the people building the game are still finishing wicher 3 when thats done and dusted. Its full scale get Cyberpunk out mode!

I heard they going to make it as big an open world as whicher 3 is, but in a futuristic city! Its going to be breath taking. I Trust CD red more the any other Dev.
