Deluxe Edition worth it?

I'm debating if I get that or not, what do you guys think?

You pay something like 30% extra for simply obtaining some buildings, by a mathematic standpoint (depending on your monitary status of course) it's not worth.

However if it's worth it by YOUR standards... I dunno man! It's your brain....

Personally i wouldn't pay the high increased cost simply for some buildings.

EDIT@ Was not aware of the other stuff you get, i still think the 37.5% increase in price is not worth it though...

I went with the normal edition myself since I never use historical buildings in city sims when they are available. I don't imagine that I'd do so this time either.

Plus the game comes integrated with Steam's workshop and the asset designer allows for some pretty interesting stuff to be built so I wouldn't be too surprised to see very similar buildings become available in relatively short order.

The standard comes with digital postcards, a concept art book, and a few buildings that are already like buildings in game already.

The Deluxe has a different art book, the soundtrack, and 5 monuments of known landmarks.

So it's not just buildings but a few other extras as well.

Yes, it's worth it. If not for the content but to support the developers. I think they deserve it.

Well, I plan to have EVERYTHING possible released for this game, every piece of new decoration, new thing, new patch, etc. Of course I want to deluxe version. I want to get everything related to this game. Imagine what the game will look like in 1 year from now... And there's mods too. Of course Deluxe edition is necessary. Even for 3 buildings. It's my way thanking the people who worked on the game.

Money has different value to everyone, for a starving child in africa it's proably not money well spent where as if your Richard Branson you may as well go for it.

The Delux version is like a box of fancy chocolates. All flavours are there but not every choc flavour will be to your liking. Eat/use the one's you like.

Or just go for the plain chocolates: probably better if you only like one type of chocolate.

As none of the buildings in the deluxe edition have any image copyrights on them, modders will most likely have them up on SteamWorkshop soon enough.

So, if you are interested in the artbook and soundtrack and rewarding the Dev's with some extra coin for bringing us a city sim we all have been craving for sometime now, then I'd say buy it, if you are not, then don't.

This is my first time [ Buy and pre-order a game with deluxe ver ]. I hope paradox & colossal will not make me dissapoint. Prove to me that i have make a good choice. I used to play cracked games in my life since the past 10 years. YOU CHANGED ME. XD.....good luck for LAUNCH.

They will make plenty off normal sales, I am sure they be more then happy to just have a normal sale. They are looking for volumes, the deluxe is there just because some gamers want a little extra. People are greedy and always want the illusion of more for value.

With all the mods that will come out, I am sure there will be plenty of cool stuff within months of release.

I don't see anything like that in the store page description.
I don't see how a season pass would have been possible to release 2 years ago for future content that hadn't even been conceived of at the time.
