Buy or Wait till next Sale?

Hey guys,

pls help me decide. I don´t know if i should buy now or wait till next Steam Sale. I mean Easter is not far away anymore. But do you think, there is a chance that the game will reduced to 20 or 15 bucks?

I say, buy. The price is already incredibly low. Paradox went to great lengths to offer a low price. It's half of what SimCity cost. So I say, suppor them for the good game with that already low price.

It's totally your own decision!
I watched some Let's plays and Test videos and decided, that what I see is already good enough for me to preorder it, regardless of the risk of occuring bugs in later gameplay or so.

regarding sales: I think it could be some months before it goes to sales ... but then, nobody really knows that nowadays.

Its up to you if you want to buy the game now or wait. If you want to wait then wait, there is no harm in them.

Oh and you can already get the game for $20 from legitimate stores.

Well a friend told me: "Dude, look at this game! It looks like Simcity5, but it´s awsome." So i checked out some youtube videos. I want the game badly, but i don´t know if i can be strong enough not to get the game before Easter.

i dont wanna force u to buy it, but so far the game possibilities looks just gr8 ... so if u wanna to support dev just a little bit buy it now ;) ... edit: just to let you know, waitin fo march 10th gonna be f----ing painfull :D

Da ich grad sehe, dass du deutsch bist: ich habe das Spiel bei www.mmoga.de vorbestellt, da kostet es sogar nur schlappe 21 Euronen. Man bestellt, und kriegt am Release-Tag den Code, den man auf Steam einlösen kann. Bestelle seit Jahren bei MMOGA ohne Probleme.

("Eastern" hat dich verraten, das sagen nur Deutsche, Amis und Engländer wurden "Easter" schreiben, hehe. ^^)

Ich könnte ja jetzt behaupten, dass ich mich vertippt habe, aber leider liegt r zu weit vom n entfernt. :D Habs einfach jetzt bei Gamesrocket gekauft.

Since it is a paradox game you have to decide if you buy the base game immediately or wait 1-2 years until some major DLCs are released and you buy it on summer/winter sales for 25 % of the original price.

I will probably wait until I see how often DLCs are release for that game and than decide if I buy it at all because some paradox games are not worth buying like CKII because of the ridiculous DLC policy. Standard price for the whole game is now 144,99 bucks. And I will certainly not pay such a price for Cities Skylines.

But then there is still a chance for buying it after very soon after I have watched some LPs from people who didn't have received an early paradox advertising key.

from what i watch on numerous twtich casters the game will provide me at least 100+ hours of game play which is worth 29$, i don't speculate about the future of the game DLCs and more, but just from what i'm seening it's SOLID for me (although Paradox DLC & expensions are currently the best in the bizz re price/value/time 2 play e.g CKII, EUIV)

just read it's possible to create maps based on google earth, which is amazing, so i can build cities based on real maps .

It is a SimCity that SimCity 5 should have been + it has mod support + it's much cheaper than SC5 was on release.
That is basically instant buy.

An April Steam sale is not guaranteed, and I doubt that even if this game were to go on sale it'd be discounted by more than 10%. The mid-year sale (approx 3.5 months away) it'd likely be 33% off, then by the end of year sale I'd probably expect 66% off at most (with a decent scattering of DLCs).

Though, GreenManGaming does have the game for pre-order at a discount currently, under the VIP section.
