Whats with all the Streamers on Twitch playing the game now while we wait

i mean any one can stream a game now a days and really i get into it too but whats with all these ppl on twitch streaming the game while we pre order the deluxe version and have to wait by the time this game is released not only will the hype die down but so will the stream attention that goes along with it

so what gives here what type of market strat is this when you got ppl streaming each day killing the intense hype of this game not to mention the potential ppl who wanna premote the game as well how are they going to compeate with the ppl who have been streaming the crap out this game alrdy

but then again it may or may not kill it but i can see this game become SimCity when it comes to streaming cause if you look at that game it hardly gets any views

It's a very cheap way to advertise the game. The only people who got the game for free who are Youtubers/streamers are people with a certain level of subscribers. They don't give it to just anybody who has a YouTube channel or Twitch channel.

You'll note, the strategy is working. It's spreading word of mouth and building excitement. Many people wouldn't even know the game exists if not for the YouTubers and Streamers.

I've re-read what he wrote and indeed mis-read initially. Regardless though what I said still has the answer in there. He just doesn't have the subscriber base needed to qualify. It's unfortunate for him but they aren't allowing just anybody to stream the game right now, he's just not popular enough of a streamer. Yes, being able to stream this right now would help make him more popular but unfortunately he needs to reach a certain level of popularity before he qualifies.

well i wouldnt be the only one here but this is how games really go out to die when it comes to popluarity and views and really i got into other betas this weekend that i can get views from and to be quite honest dont really care for the hype of view of this game heck even been in the simcity alpha which was quite sad at the end to play really

but no i didnt mean it in that sense of why can they stream and not me its more like why we all got to wait till the 10th of march while others who are killing the hype get to play now its more like how i ment it cause there is a few ppl who rather just have it early access to those who pre order

This is not how games come to die because this game has been a #1 seller on Steam and every other retailer selling the game because of the Twitch streamers and Lets Plays. It's doing the opposite of what you're saying it's going to do and will do. The game doesn't even get reviews out till the 10th when it releases. It'll get even more people knowing about which will cause it to sell even more. It's a pretty good strategy.

Also, you say you don't care but your OP says otherwise. You're angry that you don't have access.

this is fair, they earned the subscribers therefore they earned the right to get the early access..

sure is a lot of envy floating around regarding this game. Almost everytime these types of threads show up, its usually beause they themselves just want to play the game before anyone. Be appreciative to at least be able to play the game next week, to say this is how games die is a bit childish

There are currently 9 streamers with less than 150 viewers.
7 of them got less than 70 viewers.

So it sounds more like they got connections or they begged with money.
