Traffice merging

I have been playing alot of CIM2 to hold me over until release and also got watching the simulation videos on cities skylines.

It made me think of one of the huge problems with traffic in CIM2, the traffic instead of merging correctly it would all just queue up in one gigantic single line and would all cause a huge bottleneck, after watching the simulation video 6 at 13:08 you can see the vehicles making a very long line instead of utilizing all the lanes.

Have they said if they have improved the AI on this since CIM2?

Pause at 13:08 and you will see what i mean in the bottom left, though we can't see what is causing the problem i hope its not as bad as CIM2

I think this issue was the lesson they learned from CiM and why they made it so cars will "disappear" once a traffic jam gets too crazy.

That intersection looks hectic, i noticed there is no traffic lights. Will we have the option to have them or not?

they are only on medium roads and higher and if a small road intersects with a bigger road, there will be traffic lights

@cgrazko, Sorry, I translated the word "merge" with google and I think I understood a different thing. What I was trying to say: In the intersection you can see the cars passing through each others.
