Buildings disappearing

Hi all!

About three weeks ago I went vanilla again and started building a new city. All was fine until last week when all of a sudden all kinds of buildings mysteriously vanished (hospital, residential and commercial buildings, no roads though, so far). I'm puzzled, I hadn't subscribed to any new mods in the past few days before this, so why all of a sudden is this happening? In this very same map only one train track is working, the other train connections do not spawn. Could this be related? I never had this before (before going vanilla) and have played this game now over 1500 hours.

As always I will first check here who had same/similar problems before, but I could not find any satisfying answers and/or solutions. I was wondering if it might be the map itself? In the meantime I started a test city (different map) and so far, after building and saving few times, no building disappeared. So, could it be the map? Should I just start a new city with a new map and hope it does not happen again?

I did subscribed to Plop the Growables, but this didn't change anything. Then I realized I hadn't turned on 'Enable Theme Management for this city', but even after turning it on, buildings kept disappearing. I thought that might have been it (as I use it primarily for plopping buildings).

If any of you CS experts want to share their thoughts about this, I'd appreciate it very much! It has become frustrating as I cannot rely on it anymore, if buildings do not stay in their place (and population goes down).

Were these buildings part of a building style you might have disabled? Like 'European / Vanilla', 'European Suburbia' or 'Modern City Center'.

European / Vanilla has it's own service buildings as well.

Check the content manager --> Styles, if you have them enabled or not.

Have them all enabled. Buildings were not part of any building style in particular. The hospital (an asset I subscribed to, yes) then should not be affected?
I have also detected a building burning down and afterwards an empty void (instead of a burnt down building) was left (as in building seems to have disappeared). It made me thinking... But it should not be so many buildings, it doesn't make sense. Not using the autobulldoze mod by the way.

Did you perhaps remove the zoning?

I don't know how to do that, I think.. In general I do not zone but rather plop. Was never a problem before.

Maybe it's Plop the Growables glitch. Can you unsub, resub and try again?

I recently got rid of every asset and mod and reinstalled Skylines and went through everything one at a time and I had a similar thing and discovered it was because I hadn't installed Ploppable RICO revisited. I know it's not the same prob you have as such but it's worth considering none the less

just because people mention plop the growables and ploppable RICO together, they do the same thing and will fight and clash.
you don't need both the newest RICO can do everthing PTG does and more.... depending if you want the "and more" part choose only one of these 2 mods.

I use to have only RICO Revisited. When this problem started to appear, I read I might wanna try Plop the Growables (provided you use the same settings). However, it did not make any difference and I unsubbed. Prefer RICO anyway.

I went vanilla a while ago, and it took an incredible amount of time to have everything 'restored'.

I mentioned I do not see burnt or crashed down buildings anymore. This is strange too, but I cannot find it where I can change settings concerning this.

I have the sam,e problem with you bro, I have used find it! mode to place my buildings but the buiding disappeared even though the residential buildings has residents living in. I'm sure that the district I placed is the type which I choosed, residential building on residential zone, commercial building on commercial zone
