Is there a way to explore my city?

It would be cool if we could load our cities into games like American/Euro Truck Simulator, or a flight sim, or something like that. Maybe they could add their own driving into the game so we can drive around. It would be a nice addition in case you ever get bored.

Subscribe to the FPS Camera mod in the Workshop. There is also a Driving mod on there but it's still in Beta and still has a few issues though.

I remember the original SimCity 2000 - it had a Racing Game built-in, where you could lay down a circuit around your city then race against other vehicles. I used to play that more than SimCity itself!

And there was also another mini-game called SimCopter, that gave you missions flying a rescue helicopter around the city, but that was pretty clunky.

It would be great if City Skylines could incorporate mini-games like those ...

I played SIMCity 2000 on my old Playstation console and it was awesome because it had a "Drive By" mode that used the "Streets of SIMCity" engine to generate a very blocky render of your built city you can drive around in. Of course you drove around at 1FPS though lol

That's right - "Streets of SimCity" - that's what it was called! Yeah, First Person View was really bad - all the houses were just basic brown blocks. Even so, the racing was excellent!

I use a mod called Walk n drive. Works well. You can walk and pick any parked car to drive. Controls are WASD

Yeah, that's the mod I was talking about. But it's still in Beta and according to some folks still a bit buggy, which is why for the time being FPS Camera mod is still my go to mod for exploring my created cities.
