hello first off all i don't know if i am on the right spot with my question so please forgive me ... second english is not my language .... okay that said .... i can't get city skylines work the game just won't start it keeps hanging saying start game nothing happens and when i press stop also nothing happens i think it's a cloud thing but i don't know how to solve this. but i think when i create a new account and buy the game on that new account am i then able to play the game without the error i now have with old account.

you should try to "verify game integrity" when you right click the game and go to properties, then installed files?

should be somewhere around there.

also, are both games on the same drive? not all drives are the same, and cant run the same games the same way.

I'm not sure if this is the solution, but you can try this guide on bypassing the Paradox Launcher. This is a very common (and random) issue.

first thanks for reaction but because of mine english i don't understand fully how to get rid of the launcher .... but remains the other question .... if i make a new account and buy a new cs ... can i then play cs without these errors on the new account?

No. Do not buy a new account and don't buy the game again.

instead, try rebooting the computer first.

Correct, if it doesn't work now, why would it work later? It either works or it doesn't.

Did you make the cities.bat file?

when i right click on the attachement i get 5 options what to do with it like open link with .... so wich option i should get

pffffft ....sorry ..sorry ..sorry ... i really think i'm to dumb for this ...... i really don't understand how to create this cities.bat file ... i never ever had to do with these kind of things in mine life ... i'm 64 .... got the feeling i must invent how to make the atombomb .

Where did you go?

All you need to do is make the cities.bat file.

Open notepad, type in:

start Cities.exe %command%

Then save the file with this exact name:

Cities,bat

Now just copy that Cities.bat file to where you installed the cities: Skylines game.

The if you installed Steam on your C: drive, then copy the Cities.bat file here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines

Now go to Steam and then your Library, find the steam game listing on the left sidebar and right click the Cities: Skylines icon and select properties. now just paste the into the launch options box. If the box isn't empty, then erase all of the text in the box first.
