Asset Editor not working

Hi,

All of a sudden the asset editor has stopped working... By which I mean that I can open it, create a new asset (in this case wanting to create a new park - yes another new park but I had my reasons), and the editing window comes up with the grid highlighted and the "north" arrow displayed.

but...

None of the normal editing tools are available - eg resizing the editable grid, applying textures and adding props and so on.

Running in full screen.

Hopefully this is a simple user error that I will be embarrased about and not an unresolvable bug :(

Tried on several computers - all MACs - but the same issue. Can someone please pop into the asset editor - create a new park and let me know if it's just me?

Turn of all mods and assets before entering the asset editor then it will work just fine. I run into this myself sometimes when I forget to turn everything off that I don't need for the asset Im going to change or make.

Had the same issue myself.It's most likely due to bad assets rather than mods.Just disable all assets before you enter.If that doesn't work go for the mods but i'm pretty sure assets are the issue.Also you will find the asset editor will load way faster.

I made a back up in steam games, then removed local content, reinstalled game, did open it again, my mods and assets missing .... wondering why they did not return, looked for ages, found that you can trigger them to get back into the game via steam menu - view - settings - download and to change the download region to another country, could go back into the game! Everything worked with mods and assets giving before errors ... the game is also much faster again... The thing is, no guarantees from me! Good luck
