Unlimited Oil and Ore Mod
Hi,

I have a mode that says it give unlimited Oil and Ore however I had an oil industrial area of which i deleted to re design and when I go on the oil view there the black colour was its now gone.

I dont this mod is working, does anyone know of one they use that works with industries DLC.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure unlimited oil and ore is enabled at all times, or it will deplete quickly.

Same for ore, it will deplete.

Farming is yellow and doesn't deplete.

Forestry, can be created at any time by spamming trees. It isn't enough to have some trees for it to be forestry, it has to be very think trees before it turns darker green.

Works fine for me. Make sure your mods are compatible with the current game version.
There is an unlimited resource mod with the base game, that one works.

How do i check for compatibility please?

Had the same issue for a while. Happened after the SH update. I dropped the mod and just use the "Unlimited Oil and Ore" that comes with the basic game. Content Manager/Mods Working fine now.

Caution; to test you might try just disabling one and enabling other. In my case I had to unsub, restart and update to get it working. Not sure why other than suspected conflict.

Problem is either way it takes so damn long to find out if it holds or not! Even at 3x speed

Turns out im using the one thats built into the game rather than a made. Its in the content manager section, i guess thats where vanilla ones would also be?

Ill de-select, start the game, exit and reselect it to see if any difference is made.

Keep in mind if deselect a mod with doesn't come with the game, the code can still interfere. You need to unsubscribe from it and restart the game.

I think your issue might be the fact that you removed all the previous industrial businesses and with that, the game thinks that there is no longer oil there due to it being white. Did you have the mod enabled when you started that city? Did you keep it enabled the whole time?

Have you considered getting the mod that allows you to paint resource areas?

If the resources are depleted they will stay gone. The mod only prevents them from going away. It doesn't make them come back.

+1

but for some reason it only works with oil, my ORE is still importing no matter how big I make my ore industry over a rich ore section of land and I dont know why

Thank you for the above. Yeah when i deleted the industry it did turn white. I noticed the oil availability has been going down despite oil and ore being turn on and was never turned off.

Thanks Mark for the heads up on the mentioned Mod. I'll take a look at that too. Planning on a new city. I keep restarting but considering previous attempts as practice ready to make a big awesome city.

With the extra landscaping tools mod, you can repaint the oil and ore areas and they will stay black or grey with the unlimited oil and ore mod turned on.
