Fire trucks are not being sent to fires.
Having an issue where trucks are slow to respond or dont repsonmg at all to fires. I add more stations but its not helping.

If they're too far away and/or traffic is too heavy, they won't be able to make it in time no matter how many stations you have.

Traffic is fine in most areas and the fire station was half a block away from a skyscraper inferno and not a single truck left to put out the fire.

I notice there seems to be an issue where firetrucks are not dispatching from the nearest firestation. it's burning my high res district that has two of the 50K fire stations on it. very unfortunate

nope nearest stations are empty, maybe they are sending trucks from far away stations which makes no sense at all and they are hitting traffic

I've noticed this problem with the firetrucks, today I've had a few buildings burn down, all fairly close to a fire station, (1 next door), click on the fire station - 0 of 7 in use so, they are in there but can't be bothered to attend. Could this problem be a bug?

I've had this problem as well and folks, you need to check your policies. If you have helicopter priority switched on, the fire department truck crews will lean back, because they think the copters will handle the situation. If you don't have fire copters yet, then the trucks will still think that the copters are in place.

Thanks Varius, that solved my issue, only one helicopter depot couldn't handle the situation. :-)

This is not the worst grave I've dug... But relevant :)

The other thing that messes this is "prefer ferries" policy. Not sure how mine got on, I have no ferries but disabling it seems to have fixed it.
