Is there a Way to Make Road and/or Rail Tunnels to Go Underwater?
I know bridges are the most ideal and common way to cross bodies of water both ingame and in real life. But there are also a few instances both in real life (for example The UK and France's Chunnel) as well in a few videogames (for example "Liberty City" in GTA III) where a tunnel crossing over a body of water is a good alternative.

Anyhoo, I've been trying to make a road tunnel go under a body of water (mostly the narrow rivers in game) to no avail, as the game keeps telling me that "the slope is too steep".

I really hope there's a way to do this just like this neat mod for Metro tunnels:

yeah, I got all kind of tunnel underwater! you just need to work them at the right angle :)
Finding the right angle is a bit annoying at times though.

I don't have any issues with doing tunnels under rivers. Generally though I start them further back (i.e I don't go right to the edge of the water).

Just like real tunnels, you have to get them at the right slope. Start further back from the shore and go to the deepest tunnel level to get across. It's easier to draw tunnels on smoother land, so try not to draw them off of cliffs. Hope this helps!
@CrashNCortex: Thanks for the tip :)

Yes you can add underwater Tunnels in mapeditor, if you use prepared Intersections

Here is my old set i used, i work actuall on a new set with railroads includet (Means they will not be compatible)
There will be in one week or so a map from me released with a island
