Sounds like you're doing a simulation of Los Angeles where people just drive in the bus lane.

You can also control how many buses you have per line using this mod which could be a big help.

Before After Dark, i used some of the mods, but they were just bulking a little too much (even though i loved the service lanes). I'd love to see them adapt on what they built. I broke my golden rule of not buying DLCs or such with full pricing, so i gotta ask for commitment from them too.
I'm not gonna lie that this giant bus station will work wonders on multi sectored metropolis, but it's just a big sluggish monster during the start.
Also, before this, i used express highways inside the city to redistribute the traffic jams and keep them under limited control (used Proper Hardness mod, and yes, i'm a masochist when it comes to citybuilding simulators).
