No Unlimited Ore and Oil no longer an option

OK... I was just playing a new Map/game (Huahine) and setting up an ore industry and noticed that the mines had depleted the ore. I went to check my settings under options and notice that the unlimited ore and oil option was not there anymore!. I checked and still had the unlimited mod active and removed it and the in game unlimited setting did not return. I reloaded the game and still not there. I tried starting a new game on two different maps (Sunset Harbor And Kerrisdale Bay) and it was still not there. I then deleted the game and all mods and assets. Re-downloaded the game and it was still not there. I am out of ideas on how to fix this issue. anyone have any ideas?

Sorry, What files? I removed the game and re installed it. Wouldn't that clear everything?

Unlimited ore and oil is a default setting in the vanilla game.

The 'Unlimited Ore and Oil' option can be found in the 'Content Manager', under 'mods'.

As chimeran_dragon mentioned, it's a vanilla mod, so you do not have to subscribe to it on the Workshop, and should be there allready.

If for some weird reason it's not, you can always try this mod. With it you can add/remove resources from your map. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=502750307&searchtext=extra+landscaping

OK. I'll try it again in a new city. But the last two times I played I had the resources deplete Oil in one game and ore in another, and started getting no resources flags for the mines.

MaxFX, I tried that. I painted in new oil and ore and it just vanished under the wells and the mines. My Unlimited ore and oil setting was checked off for both.

Right click on the game and select Properties then click Local Files then click on Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Everything verified. Complete reload and a new map (Sunset Falls) to start my city. As soon as I put down the mining industry it depleted. Repaint the resource and you can watch the ore gets sucked up. I am on a PC..

I have a city that has a similar deal, even though I have it enabled and it works on all other maps. I cannot remember what map it is right off, but if you upload your save game, I might be able to tell if it is the same one.

Also, try playing on a different map and see if the same thing happens.

Discord provided the totally non-intuitive answer. DISABLE the Unlimited mod! I just tested it and at least for now the mines are not depleting. My guess there is still a conflict with another mod that is causing the odd behavior. BTW I did try three different maps and got the same result on each of them (Seahorse Arch, Kerrisdale Bay and Sunset Falls.) The latter is the current game. Anyway how would I upload the game?
