I agree, i also only use highway roundabouts.. (and i also think building stuff on a roundabout looks ugly anyway, plus like you said building stuff on a roundabout can clog up traffic)
Also, don't have that much space for a cloverleaf.
Edit: I'm using an identical size one with highways at the center of my oil industry though, it does the job, probably because the traffic is slightly less dense in that area.
in roundabouts since traffic is so bad in this game nobody uses left lane anyways. so put hospitals there.
Doesn't look realistic.
Works like a charm though.
So a roundabout with 4 roads connected. 2 on the outside, 2 on the inside (with tunnels or bridges).
Easy peasy.
Works with 6 lanes (although you get lights for traffic entering the roundabout...no big deal with a traffic light remover) and high-ways
"When I get elected I will remove Traffic Lights to fix gridlock!"
atleast you would be telling the truth unlike the rest of them...
Some roads don't need lights, yet they do have them.
And what is wrong with using mods...
Any mod is cheating.
Even assets, which motivate people to build more beautiful cities etc. would be a cheat.
Who am I cheating against by the way? That's right... no one.
Where is the competition?
Sheesh...
This thing (wich is NOT a roundabout) takes aa LOT of traffic:

One of the underground roads are not connected right though, just redo it manually and it is a beast.
